Looking for a simple craft for your little butterfly enthusiast or want to integrate an easy activity into your butterfly-themed lesson? This wiggly caterpillar is extremely simple, not expensive, and takes less than 2 minutes to do. Note, to make things easy, you’ll be working with glue dots but be careful they don’t end up on the floor or somewhere else – they really are quite sticky 🙂

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
THE SUPPLIES:
- Glue Dots
- 2-3 Green 1in Pom Poms
- 2-3 Light Green 1in Pom Poms
- 1 Red 1in Pom Pom
STEPS
STEP 1: Create the body
Take a green pom pom and add a glue dot to it. Attach a light green pom pom to that glue pom pom / glue dot. Continue with as many pom poms as you like (this will be the length of the body)
STEP 2: Add the head
Using the same pattern (pom pom, glue dot, pom pom) as above, attach the red pom pom.
STEP 3: The finished product!
That’s it! A simple caterpillar in just a few minutes! Because you’ve used glue dots, you don’t have to wait for the craft to dry – you can start playing with it immediately!
