Need a super easy and budget-friendly chick craft to add to your spring or Easter celebration? This one isn’t just cute – it’s an upcycled, easy craft that also holds your utensils or pencils! Read on to check it out!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
THE SUPPLIES:
- 1 Upcycled Tin Can
- 1 Sheet of Yellow Construction Paper
- 1 Sheet of Orange Construction Paper
- 2 Googly Eyes
THE TOOLS:
- Scissors
- Glue or Tape
STEPS
STEP 1: Create the Body
Clean out the Upcycled Tin & Ensure there aren’t any pointy areas. Cut the Yellow Construction Paper (roughly in half lengthwise, though this may vary depending on the size or your tin). Cover the outside of the tin with this yellow stripe.
STEP 2: Add the Face
Glue the googly eyes to one side. If you don’t have any on hand, you can also cut out some circles out of black construction paper or draw them on with a marker.
Cut out a small triangle from the orange construction paper. Glue it just below the eyes.
STEP 3: Add the Top of the Head
If you’re using this for a party, add in some yellow plastic forks or other utensils for the top of its head. You could also use this to hold some pencils or paint brushes as a decorative spring or Easter addition to your craft area!
