THE DETAILS
Since we had set this up to add some fun to the dinner table, our treasure hunt riddles didn’t require getting up or searching around the house. Instead, the clues were hidden around the table (under plates, near the centerpieces, in folded napkins, etc…). We printed out one of each clue as the goal was to get the entire table to solve them together. Alternatively, you could also give everyone a set of the clues instead of hiding them and make it more of a ‘race to the finish’ type game.
The concept is fairly simple. The answer to each clue is a letter. Once all letters are found, they can solve the final clue. The clues actually spell out “Turkey”. On the table, we created a “stuffed paper bag turkey” which was filled with autumn and Thanksgiving themed crafts that they could play with after dinner! We followed the tutorial here – they use popcorn to fill the bag but it’s the same concept 😉 (If you’re pressed for time, you could also just glue the last Turkey cards to a paper bag with all the prizes!) Fun during dinner and after!!!
