Looking for some added fun to your Holiday movie night? If Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer (or any other reindeer movie) is the film for the evening, try adding in quick & easy crafts & activities to add to the fun for the day! Read on to check out some ideas!
THE TABLE
Our table was set up fairly simply. We had a set of “Rudolph” plates but everything else (cups, napkins, plasticware) were standard, solid colors picked up from the dollar or party stores.
We also had Reindeer Antlers and Red Clown Noses at each setting so kids could “dress” up as Rudolph throughout the party time 🙂
SNACKS & DESSERTS
- What’s a movie without popcorn?? Go with the all-time favorite movie butter popcorn or splurge on one of those holiday tins with the different flavors! Either way, popcorn is a great snack for movies 🙂
- Reindeer Fuel (A.K.A. Carrots). This one is easy – just lay out some carrots and everyone’s favorite dip and you’re all set with a healthy snack!
ACTIVITIES
These activities are all fairly easy – after all, it’s movie night, who wants to stress out?? If you don’t have some of these craft supplies lying around, you can always just use what you have on hand. Instead of pom poms or googly eyes, use some construction paper or trusty crayons and markers 🙂 Have fun and be creative!
- Reindeer Heads: At the time of this posting, we had some Jumbo Foam Reindeer Heads; however, they appear to be out of stock. Instead, you could also use some free printables. We found a few to select from at northpolechristmas.com: Reindeer Templates. Print one out then use it to outline on some brown construction paper. Then let the kids have some red or black pom poms, googly eyes, and any other craft supplies to decorate!
- Search & Find Sheets. We picked up some Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer Hunt Sheets and passed out one for each guest. Full disclaimer, though – we couldn’t find them all and there’s no answer sheet :O!
- Reindeer Paper Bag Puppets. This one is easy & inexpensive! It comes from enchantedlearning.com: Paper Bag Reindeer Puppet Craft. After everyone had created theirs, we encouraged the kids to create some mini skits!
