Hoot! hoot!  Who’s ready for an owl themed party?  Whether it’s a sweet little baby shower, Valentine’s Owl Always Love You party, or a celebration for someone who lives owls, this sweet and simple party is perfect for you!  Read on to check our easy and inexpensive ideas!

DECORATIONS

Depending on what occasion your Owl party is for, you may want to pick a certain color scheme (e.g. pinks and reds for a Valentine’s party, blue or pink for a baby shower, woodland or browns for a nature lover, etc).  Our owl party was a small celebration for a little one who just loved owls!  So, our owls were super cute and our colors were bright and cheerful!

We set out a few Owl Stickers as well as Owl Bulletin Board Cutouts to add to the theme!

THE TABLE

We set up our table with some basic browns and greens and paired those with some owl napkins from the Dollar Tree. It doesn’t look like they are there now, but there are some really cute options that you can find online (Owl Party Plates Pack, Owl Birthday Party Supplies)

We also scattered some Owl Stickers which we used as a game later on in the day 🙂

GAMES & ACTIVITIES

What’s a party without some fun and memorable games??? Kids will definitely have fun just running around and coming up with their own games, BUT adding in a few themed games will definitely be a hit with your guests! Here were a few of ours.

  • Perler Bead Owls: We pulled out our Owl & Hedgehog Pegboard Set from our Arctic Animals – Snowy Owls Day and brought out the owl shape.  Then we set out some Perler Beads and let kids create their own owls to take home!  Note: this one may be more suitable for older kids as the perler beads are quite small
  • Ornament Painting: Painting Wooden Owl Ornaments is another easy activity and is great for younger kids too!  This one just requires some markers or paint pens and then they can draw and design their own owls!
  • Seek & Find: This one is quite easy (& helps with the cleanup!).  The kids can gather as many of the owl stickers that have been spread around the party area!  If you want to add some competition, the one who finds the most wins!

And while we didn’t get to these other crafts and activities, we thought we’d mention them here for some more fun to pick and choose from:

  • Owl Magnets: This all-in-one kit has everything you need to create 12 little owl magnets!
  • DIY Owl Wind Chimes: This one is also a nice craft for an activity table.

GOODIE BAGS & GIVE-A-WAYS

For our goodie bags, kids could take home any crafts or stickers they found.  Then we also added some owl themed items in their bags (Owl Tattoos, Mini Owl Ballpoint Pen, Owl Stickers, Owl Notebooks)
