Chances are if you have a little one, they’ve gone through a dinosaur phase at least once, maybe even multiple times! We’ve had our fair share of dinosaur parties and dinosaur – or dinosaur era – themed weeks (Amazing Dino Party, Digging Up Dinosaur Discoveries Week, Prehistoric Sea Creatures Week, Prehistoric Plants Week) but this mini party was dedicated to our Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous fan! Whether you’re throwing a watch party or having a big dino celebration, this Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous Party is perfect for you! Read through to check out our ideas!
DECORATIONS
For this party, we wanted to lean more into the Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous vibe, so we had a lot of dark colors: browns, oranges, etc. Our dino decorations were also a bit more on the realistic, scarier side as compared to some of our previous kid-friendly dinosaur parties!
All of our tables were covered with Jurassic Table Covers that helped set the theme! We also had some Jurassic World Door Banners all over!
If your celebration is a birthday, a Jurassic World Birthday Banner would be great to hang up!
And since this was a Camp Cretaceous inspired event, we had the series running in the background 😉
THE TABLE

With just a few items, the Jurassic Party table can come to life! We used a Jurassic Table Cover, Jurassic Dinner Plates, Jurassic Dessert Plates, Jurassic Napkins, and
In the center, we used the Jurassic Wall Decor as the centerpiece.
The Jurassic Table Cover was decorative enough, so we didn’t have to add any table scatter 😉
PARTY FOOD
While the party was definitely decorated on the “scarier” side, our tweens still appreciated the dinosaur chicken nuggets :). Though fair warning, their imaginations may go wild with all the ketchup…
And since we had tweens for the party, pizza was a staple, though we did divide them into herbivore vs carnivore piles 😉
THE ACTIVITY TABLE

We typically set up an activity table for kids to keep entertained while everyone arrives AND after all the games are done. These activities are simple and easy and typically don’t require too much supervision.
- Sticker Scenes. There’s something about stickers that just seems to be a timeless classic activity for kids – even if they’re moving into the teen category! These particular sticker scenes do not seem to be available, but there are some dino stickers still available here.
- Dino Stickers / Tattoo: if we had the talent, we’d have had a dino face painting station, but we had to settle for a sticker and temporary tattoo station ;). We used the Jurassic World Stickers, realistic dinosaur stickers, Jurassic World temporary tattoos, and dinosaur temporary tattoos for a “cooler” factor.
- Card Games: when possible, we also like to set out a deck of cards that fits the party theme. It’s a great way to get random card games and magic tricks going!
GAMES

What’s a party without some fun and memorable games??? Kids will definitely have fun just running around and coming up with their own games, BUT adding in a few themed games will definitely be a hit with your guests! Here were a few of ours.
- Dino Hunt. Using some of the Jurassic World Stickers, we created a simple dino scavenger hunt. We used the stickers as the items but you could also print out larger pictures or hide mini figurines!
And while we pick these games to add to our party, we thought we’d mention them here for some more fun to pick and choose from:
GOODIE BAGS & GIVE-A-WAYS

For our goodie bags, kids could take home anything that they created, as well as stickers and some extra temporary tattoos they picked out. We also added a few trinkets from the dollar tree and spot shops: Dinosaurs pop it’s, play doh, and drawing items.
