As my little one often claims she is inwardly a butterfly spirit, we’ve no shortage of butterfly ideas and crafts! We’ve used quite a few of these in parties and at home camps. Most won’t break the piggy bank as well, so that’s always a plus! Check out some of our ideas, try out a few, and let us know how it goes!
We’ve also got some parties and at home camps themed around butterflies that you can browse through here: All Things Butterflies
This simple craft only requires a toothpick and some colored pom poms. Since you’re using a toothpick, you’ll want to supervise smaller children for safety. Click here to check out the tutorial.
This simple craft only requires glue dots and medium to large pom poms (we used 2inch ones). It’s super easy, no dry time required, and fun to watch wiggle! Click here to check out our tutorial.
WIGGLY PIPE CLEANER CATERPILLAR CRAFT
This simple craft only requires a pipe cleaner or two and a pencil. Use the how-to guide to create a super easy caterpillar (or worm) in no time! Click here to check out our tutorial.

The one only requires some string and construction paper. You can also re-use the technique and create multiple butterflies, different sizes, etc.. You can also shape your table napkins for additional decoration! Click here to check out the tutorial.
This one just requires some pony beads and pipe cleaners. Kids can get creative with their beads, using color blocks, patterns, or a free design. The possibilities are endless 🙂 Click here to check out the tutorial.
A TISSUE & PIPE CLEANER BUTTERFLY CRAFT
