Are you ready for a sweet little bumble bee party! While actual bees may cause some shrieking or little ones to run far away, cartoon versions are so adorable that a bumble bee party is perfect for a little one! Our small bumble bee party had quite an age range of guests, so we had games and activities for all! Read on to check out our ideas for decorating, food, and games & activities!
DECORATIONS

For our bumble bee themed party, we used a lot of yellow, black, and white colored items. We also used bumblebee party tablecloth to cover all of our table areas. Then we used bumblebee cutouts and bee stickers to sprinkle around the party area!
THE TABLE

Our table was filled with tiny little bees and treats!!! We used a bumblebee party tablecloth and had bumblebee party dinner plates, bumblebee party dessert plates, bumblebee party cups, bumblebee beverage napkins, and bumblebee favor boxes filled with candy for each setting. In the middle we added a bumblebee honeycomb centerpiece. Then we sprinkled mini self adhesive bees all around the table.
PARTY FOOD
We have to admit… For this one, we stole quite a bit from our Winnie the Pooh Party and served up very similar honey-infused treats!
- Honey Bunches of Oats Snack Packs
- Annie’s Honey Graham Cracker Bunnies
- Honey Ham Sandwiches
THE ACTIVITY TABLE

We typically set up an activity table for kids to keep entertained while everyone arrives AND after all the games are done. These activities are simple and easy and typically don’t require too much supervision.
- Wood Painting: This one is a nice table activity to have during a party – it’s just different enough from coloring pages to keep everyone entertained! Rather than having some coloring pages, bring out some Bee Wood Slices or Color Your Own Bee Plant Stakes. Paint pens work great as the color is a bit more vibrant (but markers work too)!
- Bee Necklaces: For jewelry making fans, we set out some beads and bee charms to make as many bracelets or necklaces that they wanted!
And while we didn’t get to these other crafts and activities, we thought we’d mention them here for some more fun to pick and choose from:
GAMES

What’s a party without some fun and memorable games??? Kids will definitely have fun just running around and coming up with their own games, BUT adding in a few themed games will definitely be a hit with your guests! Here were a few of ours.
- Place the bees in the ‘hive’. This one required a bit of imagination as we used large yellow pom poms, though you could purchase mini felt bees if you wanted to. We had two groups lined up with each group racing to fill up their ‘hive’ (bucket) with as many bees (yellow pom poms) as possible. For added fun, set this up as a relay, have rules like ‘can only use wooden spoons to carry the ‘bees’, etc.
- Guess the Bee: A version of “Heads Up”, this one allows guests to write down the object/person/item that they want everyone to guess! We used bumblebee name tags for everyone to write their object/person/item on but you could also use yellow paper!
- Find the stickers: We re-use this game over and over & all the little ones LOVE it. Toward the end of the party, we let them run to find as many of the bee stickers sprinkled around the party area. The winner is the one who gathered the most! Then after they can keep or trade the stickers 🙂
GOODIE BAGS & GIVE-A-WAYS

For our goodie bags, kids could take home any crafts or stickers they found. We also added in some bee stickers, honey bee spring stickers, bee kind puzzles, honey bee pencils, and honey treats!
