Calling all sweet tooths!!! Who’s ready for an amazing candy themed party? Our sweet and simple candy party is perfect for any celebration! Read on to check out our ideas.
DECORATIONS
Depending on your favorite candy, you can decorate in any number of color schemes! We opted for whites and pinks. We also let the candy ‘speak for itself’ and be decorations, snacks, and giveaways 🙂
If you’re looking for some pre-made decorations, these Candy World items would be great: Candy World Paper Hanging Fans & Candy World Cutouts. Alternatively, you could DIY some pool noodles into lollipops (DIY Pool Noodle Yard Lollipops by Hallmark Channel)
THE PHOTO AREA
Photo backdrops are a great way of setting a theme and double as a nice and easy activity! Pick a backdrop that functions as decorative, add a few props to the scene and you’ve got a great place to hang out!
We picked up a small, but cute, backdrop: Candy Backdrop. As photo props, we used the Candy World Cutout but you could also pick up some Candy Photo Booth Props.
Note, you don’t have to go all out with a photo backdrop stand either. Grab a few pieces of tape and an empty wall & you’re all set!
THE TABLE
For our table, we used a few items from Oriental Trading: Cupcake Sprinkles Plastic Tablecloth, Candy World Paper Dinner Plates, and Candy World Lollipop Luncheon Napkins. We also added Sprinkle Favor Boxes with candy inside for each setting. Then we ‘sprinkled’ Ice Cream Cone Highlighters for everyone to pick up!
ACTIVITY TABLE(S)
We typically set up an activity table for kids to keep entertained while everyone arrives AND after all the games are done. These activities are simple and easy and typically don’t require too much supervision.
- Guess the #: We filled up a few jars with candy and set out some cards for people to guess how many pieces of candy were inside. Closest one to the actual number won the jar!
GAMES
What’s a party without some fun and memorable games??? Kids will definitely have fun just running around and coming up with their own games, BUT adding in a few themed games will definitely be a hit with your guests! Here were a few of ours.
- CandyLand Tournament: The Dollar Tree, luckily, sells Candy Land for just over a dollar! So, we picked up a few and had a Candyland Tournament complete with a scoreboard 🙂
- Candy Search: By far, this is the scavenger hunt that has brought out the most giggles!! Rather than hiding clues or pictures or items to find, we hid candy all over the party area! And, of course, we had the “finders keepers” rule, so everyone got to keep the candy they found!
And while we didn’t have these games at our party, you could also add these in for some more party fun.
