Ring in the New Year with a family friendly countdown party! Whether you’re celebrating at midnight or adjusting for little ones, these simple but fun countdown party ideas are perfect for celebrating the end of a year and the start of another one! Read on to check out our ideas!
DECORATIONS
Since it was New Years, we leaned into the traditional black and gold color scheme (easy, since gold themed items are everywhere around New Years!). We also printed out some paper clocks and spread out some clock stickers.
TABLE
Our New Years Table was quite simple. We followed the black, gold, and silver color schemes that can be found everywhere around this time of year. We used some plates with clocks to showcase that ‘countdown’ theme and set out some confetti poppers!
GAMES
For our games, we had a running set of countdown presents that we let the kids open every few minutes until “midnight”. That helped keep them busy 🙂
We also had a balloon countdown clock. This one is super easy! You can purchase a kit or create one pretty easily with some balloons and markers!
