An Awesome Loki Themed Party – Easy & Inexpensive Ideas
Tagged Tags: ,

Calling all Loki fans!  If you’re planning an upcoming celebration, we have the ultimate Loki-inspired party for you!  With budget-friendly decorations, games, activities, and more, these ideas will surely add some fun and mischief to your party!  Read on to check it out!

DECORATIONS

In true Loki form, we kept everything in traditional Loki colors: black, gold, and green.   We opted for solid color balloons and streamers, but you could also spring for some Loki themed balloons and decorations.

If you have any Loki (or Marvel) themed items, you could also set those around the party area as well!   Our Loki Alligator Sitting Plush, Plushie, and Loki Alligator Plush were a big hit 🙂

THE PHOTO AREA

Photo backdrops are a great way of setting a theme and double as a nice and easy activity!  Pick a backdrop that functions as decorative, add a few props to the scene and you’ve got a great place to hang out!

Although there are a few Loki themed backdrops (), we opted for Loki posters (Marvel Loki Poster, Loki Season 2 Poster, Loki Sylvie Poster) so we could hang them up in the birthday celebrants room after 🙂

Note, you don’t have to go all out with a photo backdrop stand either.  Grab a few pieces of tape and an empty wall & you’re all set!

THE TABLE

For our table settings, we used the gold, blacks, and greens as a nod to Loki’s suit.  We also added a sticker from the Loki Stickers for each guest.

Towards the center, we set up some Loki Pop Figurines.

And as table-scatter, we spread out some Loki Stickers all around the table for the kids to find and grab later!

PARTY FOOD

No party is complete without some party food!  You can always serve some typical (or fancier) party food, but you can also keep in theme with a few clever labels 🙂

  • All Things Green! – apples, grapes, kiwi, cucumbers, green jello, pesto pasta
  • Key Lime Pie – a favorite of one of the characters in the Loki season, this pie seemed to be the only one available in the TVA…

ACTIVITY TABLE

We typically set up an activity table for kids to keep entertained while everyone arrives AND after all the games are done.  These activities are simple and easy and typically don’t require too much supervision.

  • Which Loki Variant Are You?   For all those Loki fans, it’s very possible you’ve picked your own favorite variant, but which one are you most like?  Always a fun and silly activity, this quiz from Buzzfeed lets you find out: Which Loki Variant Are You?Warning: your guests may want to retake the quiz a few times so share out the link or have a few devices ready 🙂
  • Button Making.  If you’re a Loki fan, chances are you’ve come across the infamous “Vote for Loki” buttons.  We did not have a button maker but purchased these DIY buttons instead.  They worked great for letting everyone decorate buttons!  (Note – if you have a very large group AND plan on doing a button making activity again, it may be worth investing in an actual button maker)
  • Card Games: Spread out a few decks of Loki Playing Cards, and your guests can challenge each other to their favorite card games or card tricks!

GAMES

What’s a party without some fun and memorable games??? Kids will definitely have fun just running around and coming up with their own games, BUT adding in a few themed games will definitely be a hit with your guests! Here were a few of ours.

  • Sticker Seek and Find:  we use this game in several of our parties!  There’s something about stickers that kids just love!  Even tweens and teens get into the game when they know they can use these on their water bottles and devices!  In addition to setting the Loki Stickers around the table, we also set them around the food tables and other activity areas.  Then toward the end of the party we tell everyone they can keep as many stickers as they can find!   You get a wonderfully decorated party AND kids unknowingly helping with some clean up :). Bonus!
  • Favorite Loki Scenes:  this is charades with a twist – all themed to favorite Loki scenes 🙂  Pick out a favorite scene, act it out, and see who guesses it first!
  • Loki Heads Up: A variation of the popular game heads up – have guests write down their favorite Loki variant or character from the series and use those to pick from!
  • Best Loki – if you’ve got an excited bunch and can get them to dress up as a Loki for the party, host a “Best Loki” contest. (If you have bunch of little ones you may need to create some more categories so they won’t feel left out, e.g. Best Alligator Loki, Best Goofy Loki, Best Green Loki, etc)

GOODIE BAGS

In addition to any buttons they made and stickers they collected, we also sent our guests home with a small black notebook (with a Loki Sticker, of course) and a few green pens!
